My Background

I am a story teller and I welcome you to join me on this visual journey. Painting has always been my passion from childhood and I return to it after 25 years of working in the corporate sector. Through my paintings I seek to creatively express my own personal experiences and responses to represent the beauty of subtle and dramatic events around me. Although much of my work is abstract, I love to work with a wide range of creative realism from time to time.

My medium

I use many different mediums, such as charcoal, watercolor, pastels, acrylic and oil. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

My inspiration

My art comes from an urge to explore. Growing up in a rich and diverse culture of the Indian subcontinent I enjoyed painting nature, photography and hiking in my spare time. I have also travelled across continents and many of my pieces are directly influenced by them.
